This skip-the-line entry gets you into Topkapı Palace and its Harem without queuing at the ticket office. An English- or Turkish-speaking host meets you in Sultanahmet, gives a short historical introduction outside the palace walls and walks you to the entrance, where you go straight in with your tickets. After that, the palace is yours to explore at your own pace.
How the visit works
The meeting point is in front of VIERI JEWELLERY in Sultanahmet, close to the outer palace walls rather than the main gate. Look for the host holding a MANOLYA TOURS flag or umbrella. After the introduction, a walk of about 10 minutes brings you to the palace; the intro and entry together take around 15–20 minutes. The whole experience is planned for about 1.5 hours.
What you see inside
Once through the entrance, you are free to wander the courtyards, halls and pavilions of the former Ottoman imperial palace, and to step into the Harem, the private quarters of the sultan’s family, with your ticket already in hand. You decide where to linger and when to move on. If you would like more background, an audio guide in 14 languages can be added when booking, and a full guided tour inside is offered on site for an extra fee.
